Overreacting To Russia – OpEd
For weeks now I’ve been arguing, perhaps in vain, that the lurid conspiracy theories lying beneath the surface of much of the Trump-Flynn-Sessions-Kislyak story did not necessarily add up to a coherent whole, and that while I do agree an independent investigation is important, I am not confident that we are suddenly going to discover any substantive proof that the Trump campaign actually had some level of meaningful collusion with Russia in the campaign.

Guatemalan Elections Marred By Censorship And Barriers To Access
With only three weeks left to go before the first round of Guatemala’s 2011 general elections, a number of candidates for president are being denied access by the Guatemalan media, casting a negative pall over the fairness of the proceedings. From the censorship of TV spots, to the manipulation of newspaper polls, and limited participation in the televised debates (including CNN Español), many are worried that the leading candidate is being given an unfair advantage while Guatemalan voters are deprived of the opportunity to understand their choices.

Why Obama Should Bet on Brazil
Despite the well worn campaign slogan, so far Washington's new foreign policy under President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton seems to embody a blend of both continuity and change, depending on the situation. By and large we have seen a reactionary series of policies, as the new president has been thrust into a game with the cards already dealt. However, with the visit to Washington on Saturday March 14 of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva the first Latin American head of state to be received by Obama at the White House a fresh hand is being dealt, giving the president a chance to define his administration and mark a clear departure from the policies of the past.
