Aeromexico, Mexico's largest airline, said Wednesday it would buy 100 airplanes from U.S. aerospace giant Boeing in an $11 billion deal.
Grupo Aeromexico, in a filing with the Mexican stock exchange, said it had signed an agreement with Boeing to buy up to 100 new-technology aircraft.
The order includes 90 Boeing 737-8 MAX and eight 787-9 Dreamliners, the company said.
The airline operates over 550 daily flights to cities in Mexico and overseas.
Aeromexico had its initial public offering on the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores in April 2011.
