Peru's President Ollanta Humala pays his first official state visit in Palestine where he met with President Mahmoud Abbas as part of a three-country Middle East tour, it was reported Tuesday.
The two leaders held a bilateral meeting at the President Office Building in Ramallah, Al-Muqata'a, and economic and cooperation concerns were addressed, a
ccording to an official statement.Following, the head of the Peruvian State laid a wreath at the mausoleum of former Palestinian President and late leader Yasser Arafat.
Humala's Middle East trip has brought him to Israel, and Palestine, as a second stop, while Qatar is scheduled for January 19th.
Accompanying the leader of the South American nation during his first official visit to the region are the ministers of Foreign Affairs, Eda Rivas; Economy and Finance, Miguel Castilla, and Agriculture, Milton Von Hesse.
